Cookie Notice
Last updated July 2026
This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies ValConAI uses. We keep them to a minimum. We never use third party browser pixels. Read it with our Privacy Notice.
Essential cookies
These are required for the site to work and are exempt from consent under PECR.
- Your session cookie, which keeps you logged in and holds temporary state.
- A CSRF token cookie, which protects forms against cross site request forgery.
- A consent preference cookie,
valconai_consent, which records the advertising choice you made in the banner so we do not ask again. It is itself strictly necessary because it stores your decision.
Referral cookie
If you arrive through an affiliate link, we set a first party functional cookie, valconai_ref, that lasts 90 days. It stores only the affiliate's referral code so we can credit them if you sign up. It contains no personal data and is not advertising tracking.
Advertising measurement (optional)
With your consent, we measure how well our advertising works. This is the one optional cookie set referred to in the banner.
- On landing we capture advertising click identifiers (for example from Meta, TikTok and Google ad clicks) and campaign parameters.
- When you sign up, start your free piece or make a purchase, we send a server side event to Meta, TikTok and Google, using a hashed email as the match key. These events happen on our server, not through a browser pixel.
If you decline, none of this capture or event sending happens, and the product works fully. You can decline at any time through the banner; declining stops future measurement.
Email measurement
Open tracking is off for emails sent to interview experts. It is on for account emails we send you, under our legitimate interest, as disclosed in the Privacy Notice.
Changing your choice
Use the banner to accept or decline advertising measurement. Essential and functional cookies above cannot be turned off, because the site and the referral credit depend on them.
