Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026
These terms govern your use of ValConAI. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Notice and the Data Processing Agreement, which forms Schedule 1 to these terms.
1. The service and credits
ValConAI creates content from an interview with your expert. One interview produces three outputs: a blog post, a press release and a social pack. The service runs on credits. One credit funds one interview and its three outputs. Credits do not expire and remain on your account until used.
A credit is consumed only on delivery of all three outputs (the thin-gate rule). If an interview ends without enough material, we pause and let you choose: generate anyway, reopen the interview, or cancel and keep your credit.
2. Ownership of the content
The content produced for you is assigned to you in full on creation. You own it. ValConAI retains no licence in it except as needed to operate the service for you. We do not train models on your content beyond your own account's brand voice profiles.
3. Accuracy and compliance
Output is not guaranteed to comply with any regulatory regime. In regulated sectors you are responsible for reviewing content against the rules that apply to you. All content must be proofread and signed off by you before use. AI generated content may contain errors; the interview transcript is the source of truth.
4. Acceptable use
You may not submit unlawful or defamatory briefs, and interview subjects must be lawful. We may decline a brief or suspend an account for abuse of the service.
5. Statements by your expert
The accuracy of statements made by an expert in an interview is the responsibility of you and your expert. As the publisher of the content, you carry the defamation risk in what you choose to publish.
6. Remedies and liability
If a piece is not right, a replacement credit is our standard remedy. Your statutory rights are unaffected. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is capped at the fees you paid in the prior 12 months, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
7. Your free piece
Each customer organisation gets one free piece. We enforce this against abuse, including multiple sign-ups by the same organisation.
8. Payment
Payment is taken through Stripe in US dollars. Taxes are added at checkout where they apply. Refunds are handled through our support team.
9. Data protection
Our processing of personal data on your behalf is governed by the Data Processing Agreement, incorporated into these terms as Schedule 1. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal data.
10. Suspension, termination and deletion
We may suspend or terminate an account in line with these terms. When you delete a workspace there is a 14 day grace period before data is purged, and you may export your data before deletion.
11. Changes and governing law
We may change these terms with notice. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
